I initially found yoga 24 years ago. I joined a busy athletic club that was offering a class. In the peacefulness of the studio a swami looking instructor taught us the acceptance of pleasure and pain. Yoga and I have had many experiences together. It is as much a partner in my life as my sleep, my food, and my family.
There are so many aspects of Yoga that every teacher will tell you no matter how long they have been practicing they are still a student. My decision to become an instructor originated from a surgery preformed on my husband. The surgeon was an advocate of Yoga and prescribed it as part of his rehabilitation. I became his teacher and then a certified instructor through Kripalu. I am currently working on my 500-hour certification and attend various conferences giving me cutting edge knowledge incorporating other forms of hatha-based yoga.
I have always been a writer and decided to make public my words of inspiration some years ago. Enlightening through laughter, daily awareness, and the acceptance of who we are no matter how human the action. The “In My Head” blog allows you to interact on your own time.
